Welcome to TFP! Did you winterize it before closing your pool? Did you insert a Gizmo, some foam pool noodles, or do anything else in preparation for the weather? Also update your signature with all of your pool and equipment info so we know what you have there. You can also post a pic or two of the skimmer.

We’re new to the pool life and it was our first time winterizing! We used anti freeze but that was all. I am only just learning about gizmos and pool noodles.
Okay then, since you have an AGP and apparently a thru-wall skimmer, I suspect there's not much you can do at this point. Curious if the skimmer suction line/pipe was disconnected? If you see no obvious cracks, it's possible the water froze and ice expanded more upwards than anything. Time will tell once things thaw. For now, stick around and review the links provided below. We'll be around to help you through the spring opening and beyond. If you have questions along the way, just ask.
Closing an above ground pool at season’s end should be a fast and worry-free process. Learn the basics of above ground pool winterization in easy steps.
I’ve seen awful stories about the walls collapsing due to the weight of the frozen skimmer. Hoping nothing terrible like that happens to us. Glad nothing major happened to your pool. Dang winter!!
