Frog for Swim Spa?

Those aren’t recommended as they add metals to the water & often chlorinate haphazardly leading to unsanitary water conditions.
An Ahhsome purge is recommended in new spas & even more so in a used spa so that you start fresh.

Then you can just follow this guide
👇

If you’re looking for something that will provide standby chlorination whether you’re there or not you may want to look into a drape over swg like the saltron mini or controlomatic.
A spa is similar to a pool in that all the same Pool Care Basics apply but there is a much higher fc demand due to the higher bather load in such a small amount of water. If fc is allowed to fall below minimum FC/CYA Levels
at any point nasties proliferate rapidly 🤢 & can cause serious problems.
It’s a big ole bowl of people soup & must be treated as such.

A swim spa is much closer, temperature and volume/bather ratio to a hot tub than a pool.

As was said, avoid the frog. It is a false sense of security, and it makes measuring things difficult.

Check out the mini salt systems for spas/hot tubs. I have the Saltron Mini and it works like a charm. There are others that work for spas up to I think 2,000 gallons.
