Frisco, TX Start Up complete 10/26/16 *updated with pics*

Re: New Frisco, TX Pool Build Updated 7/26 Gunite Complete

The Shell looks real good. Looks very large comparing to my 35'x14'. Might be the Spa which I now wish I had room for. What are the dimensions of the pool?

Hope they move along to plaster quickly now. I had to wait over 3 months and did not have any rain delays.
Hey, send some of that rain over to us in Central Florida! :bump:
Almost no rain here in weeks.

We thought it looked bigger too, but I do think it's the spa and the fact it's uniform.

It measures from inner wall to inner wall at 34' in length (not including spa). The majority of the width is 17' inner wall to inner wall.

Did your tile get in within the estimated shipping time? We have also ordered it and I'm so nervous waiting. Can't wait to see it installed in your pool!

yes, the tile came in on time and they sent tracking etc. Very easy process! Glad it worked!

Just saw your PM. Did Coping and Decking start? If so, AFTER both of those are done, you should be two weeks out.

It should start any day. We are actually #1 on the list now, but we have to wait for the glass tile crew....uggh...tired of waiting.... LOL

Re: New Frisco, TX Pool Build Updated 8/31/16 Equipment Installed

How's the timeline look from beginning to end?

Here's where we sit and they did tell us it would take some time due to them using their own crews, etc.

May 5th, signed Contract
May 25th permits approved
July 18th Dig
July 26th Gunite
Plumbing August 8th
Equipment August 30th
Electrical September 5th

Tile/Coping and Masonry scheduled for this Monday. We were really hoping for this recent Tuesday but because we're using Glass Tile, they had to wait for their glass tile guy and they didn't want to start coping until tile is in.

So we're at 9 weeks from Dig so far.

They are saying it should only take about 7 days to do the tile/coping/masonry.

My grill/cabinet, etc comes Monday as well so in truth good timing.

Just tired of no yard at all, dog tired of it too. Up until Electrical we had the entire North side of backyard and side of house for her. But when they did electrical they had to trench from north side all the way around house to the south side to our equipment pad, thus a giant ditch and preventing any use of the gate on that side of the house. Also not a good safe way to get there off the back porch with the trench.

Ready to have it done. LOL

All our patio furniture is here but they are holding it at warehouse at NFM for us because I have nowhere to put it until everything is done.
We're very hopeful it's all finished by October 20th weekend because we're having a large family gathering with Inlaws, Brother in law - his wife- child, etc.

I feel you are near the finish line, however, I'm nervous about your October 20th party. Mainly because you can't use your heater on fresh plaster.

Good luck man and keep pressing them!!!

I honestly don't care if anyone swims or not, or if heater is used. I just want my backyard back and for it to look halfway decent :)

Looks great! Our glass tile was due in last Wednesday and my husband called when we hadn't heard anything or received any tracking info and he was told there was a fire in their warehouse or something and they were backed up:( I'm so tired of waiting too!!

Wow that's awful!! And this is Lightstreams?

Waiting definitely is no fun.

Did they give you any time frame?

Yes, it's Lighstreams Steel Blue, same as yours right? We are going to call again tomorrow as it will be a week and he told us we should hear from them within the next week. Seeing your tile makes me happy b/c it's so gorgeous but I just want it now! When did you order yours and how long did it take?

Thank you, I'm excited to see the spa spillover complete. My wife thinks maybe we should have gone with the 3x3 tiles, I can't decide. I do like the way they look.

We ordered a 60/40 mix of regular to iridescent. We placed the order July 17 th and they arrived August 18 th. I found both Brian and David to be great helps at Lightstreams, and they were great at just answering questions. Email though is the best way to reach them.

Good luck!

Tile is looking good!!!

I want to see that coping and decking. Going to go excellent in your backyard. It's going to be a huge relief when they sod it. It was tiresome looking at dirt for 45 days.
