So I completely drained my pool and refilled.
pH 8.0
TA 180
CH 80 (is this something I really need to worry about with the type if pool I have?)
CYA l, FC and CC are 0 since I have not added any chemicals yet.
I know pH and TA are directly related. Lowering pH should lower TA, correct?
So I just need to know if I can add everything at once. Meaning, CYA, pH reducer and liquid chlorine.

Start by adding 30ppm of CYA in a sock hung over the edge of the pool near the return, or in the skimmer as long as it doesn't block water flow. Squeeze it now and then to get it dissolving. I like hosiery legs better than socks myself. Keep the pump running to speed things up and keep them mixed.

As soon as that's done- add 5ppm of liquid chlorine. Keep that level up. Test daily the pH and FC/CC

After about 20 minutes add some muriatic acid per PoolMath to take your pH down to 7.2. Then test and go splash about! The MA should help lower the TA along with the pH, but it may take a couple of times. Then the splashing about helps raise the pH a bit but not the TA again.

Ignore the CH.

GO SWIM! :swim:

Okay, so just space them apart a bit. As for the pH reducer, I have some pH minus(dry) will that work just as well as muriatic acid? Do I just dissolve in bucket first?

Since you have a vinyl lined pool, and no salt water chlorinator, yeah... go ahead and use that. Use PoolMath for guidance on how much to use.

We don't normally recommend it especially for those plaster pools or SWG pools. The stuff leaves behind sulphates which can mess with the equipment.
