Freeze Protection and Pool/Spa Switching

Hello,

I see that when my freeze protection kicks in it alternates between pool and spa mode. This seems like a lot of unnecessary wear and tear when I could just set the valves to circulate the entire system and then flip the manual toggle to neutral so they stay put, and to the automation it would think it's switching even though it isn't. It also eliminates the possibility of valve failure and pipe freezing. Is there any reason I shouldn't do that?

You can. Just turn off the Freeze Protection in Spa mode.

What type of Automation do you have? Please add that to your signature.

Thanks, I totally forgot you could do that (turn off FP in spa mode). It's iAqualink, not sure the exact model.
