Free Total Combined Chlorine Results ?

I am using A Taylor K-205 Salt test kit. When I perform the chlorine test, it all looks the same. I can not tell the difference when I add the drops for free chlorine and total chlorine. I expected the total chlorine to look darker, ie a higher value than the free chlorine.

What does this mean? It looks like its between 5 and 7.5.

When I test with an Ocean Blue kit the pool installer gave me it show chlorine to be at between 3 and 5, 5 is the highest.

My water is crystal clear. PH is a 7.8 and stable.

Get a FAS DPD kit. The color matching is too difficult to read for FC.

I did the test with both the .5 and .2 factors. The results were the same.
.5= 4.5 FC
.2 = 4.4 FC
how does that look

Consistent. .5 is fine for FC test.

Remember to maintain FC based on CYA. Link—>FC/CYA Levels
