Starting to test my own water instead of taking it to the store every week or two now that it is balanced. Salt pool and I have a Taylor K-2006 Salt test kit.

First step of test instructions state to fill test tube with either 25ml (1 drop=.2ppm) or 10ml (1 drop=.5ppm). I presume it is referring to the drops of R-0871. How do I know which amount of water to use as I don’t see anything that reference ppm per drop. Thanks!

Fill the tube with sample pool water. Use 10ml, it is fine for all uses in testing. .5 discrimination is fine. Add the DPD powder, then count the drops, swirling each time, until the solution turns clear. Take the number of drops and divide by two...that is your FC level.

Here are extended instructions that may help!
