Fountain for in ground pool with non-threaded returns

Hi All,
I was wondering if anyone has seen a solution to put in a temp fountain on a return jet that has no threaded fittings - and temporary. I'd like to have that for the kids, but haven't been able to find a solution as most fountains require threaded fittings, and even making my own out of PVC still has the problem of attaching it to the return fitting.

Show us pics of what your return jets look like?

What inside diameter are they? 1.5"?

Looks like 1" to me, but haven't measured

I have this fountain but it looks like it is discontinued. Here is another that looks to have multiple adaptors.

Ah ok - that's pretty similiar to one we have in a pond on our property.
