Not terrible, but you will be blind to your pH during the SLAM. If it is a short SLAM, you are probably good unless you have to add acid on a very regular basis.

If it is a longer SLAM, I would consider calculating dropping it to 7.4 just to make sure your pH doesn't get too high. By my math, 24 oz of 31% Muratic Acid will drop your pool from 7.8 to 7.4.
