Forgot about the pool while in vacation

We went to the coast for a week. I had planned on adding extra Chlorine and putting the cover on but cat got lost and distracted me from my pool maintenance before we left. I one hundred percent forgot. it was so clear and balanced. Thank goodness I rememberd half way through vacation that I forgot to add water to it and texted my cat sitter to unplug our pumps or I would have burnt them out as the water level was AT the skimmer basket even a few more hours and it would have been toast! Learn from my mistakes and prep your pool before you head out of town! Don’t mind me I’ll be slamming my pool for the next several days.

I should have just listened to you! I’d have avoided wasting chlorine! Today I gave up and drained it. I could NOT get it clear sooooo cloudy tomorrow morning I start over! It’s so frustrating because I didn’t even drain it from the winter cover!

Chin up T/C. You enjoyed a great vacation with the fam. The pool can be fixed without gutting the house like, say, if one of the cats turned on a faucet while you were away because they’re EVIL like that. Sooooooo many other things could have gone wrong and didn’t.

Or you coulda been on the plane full of spring break college kids that refused to wear masks. (Pro tip: screw around on the way *home* from vacation, not on the way *to* vacation).
