My wife and I are getting ready to prepare the ground for a 20' Intex pool. We are going to level the ground, but are concerned about the order of operations afterwards--1" foam or tarp first.
Pros / cons of tarp first or foam board first?
What is less likely to create sliding/slipping hazard?
Do we even need the tarp if we lay the foam board?

On the forum, I've seen a variety of "opinions" on this subject. One that stands out to me is do you even need a tarp if the ground is well prepared with good quality foam over it? If used, I'd probably put the tarp (if used) under the foam boards so that I could line-up my pavers flush to the foam without a liner in the way. But since I'm the first to reply, I'm sure a wave of others will follow with their thoughts. Ha. Have a good weekend, Good luck with the install.
