Flow Sensor--replace or jump out?

This may be a stupid question, and I'm sure you guys will eagerly let me know if so :D. My flow sensor is going bad; the little wire has a short in it and if it gets bumped the least bit, it goes off. So, I am debating replacing the sensor vs jumping it out. I know the risk of causing gases to build up and definitely do not want an explosion. Here is my question, though:

My swg is on the same circuit as my pump. We use the same switch to turn both on/off simultaneously. Does this eliminate any risk of gas build up, which would allow me to safely bypass the flow sensor?

Thanks,
Tracy

Tracy,

What happens when the cap goes bad in your pump and it is not running but your cell is??? That is the whole point of having a Primary (timer) and Secondary (Flow Switch) safety device..

While, normally there are no stupid questions, yours is the exception.. :p

Thanks for posting and stay safe..
