Flooded pump motor. Repair or replace?

We recently got a spa that has never been used or hooked up to electricity. However, it was sitting in a bit of a hole, and there was 6-12 inches of water on the motors during heavy rains for the last year.

Now that we have it and it is wired up, we get to see if it works. Well it doesn't. As soon as the pumps kick in, they blow the fuse.

Any thoughts on whether it is worth trying to repair the motors, bearings, seals etc. or should we just skip the hassle and buy new pumps / motors?

Without knowing what spa or what specific motors don’t work it is hard to say.

But it will probably be less hassle and maybe not much more cost to just replace the motors. Unless you are a handy DIYer or know a good local motor repair guy. Chances are most if not all of the parts of the motor have corrosion and need to be replaced.
