Floc with cartridge filter?

So I found this forum by searching for using floc with cartridge filter. And I am in the same boat as the OP. I have a cartridge system with no "To waste" diversion. However, for those that come here there is still a way you can vacuum to waste.
If you open your filter enclosure, you can remove the filter cartridge. Now, close your inlet valve(s) (I have two), and open your drain line.
Start your pump and you are now in vacuum to waste mode. Everything you vacuum will be sucked out and deposited through your drain line (preferably with a hose connected to a proper drainage area).
