A fixed rate pump shouldn't be 'clicking'. If you look at the roller assembly while it's running it appears to pause just a bit as it clicks. it should be smooth. It sounds like the gearing may be missing a tooth or two. Or at least a few are worn down.
It’s brand new - 1 month. I sent the video link to the Stenner support and got a response everything is fine. The support person clearly didn’t encourage me to take action, but I will try to isolate the problem the way he suggested:
“After watching the video I really did not see or hear anything troubling. The pump is going to make a clicking noise as it dispenses chemical. This is normal operation.
Clicking noise can be attributed to several different things but really need to be isolated down to a section.
There are two sections on this pump head and the motor.
By removing the pump head if the clicking continues the pump head is not the issue. The motor
would be.
If it still clicks too loudly then it needs to come back for a warranty repair.
if you just want to send it back for a warranty evaluation we issue a RMA number and an
address to send it back to.
This pump is brand new and I don't hear anything abnormal.”
