I'm about to convert the pool to SWG (Circupool RJ60+). I had very high CyA and had fresh water trucked in, replacing about 2/3 of the pool water. Here are my test findings from a Taylor K-2006 test kit and a few added reagents:
CyA = 45 ppm
Free Cl = 2.6 ppm
Combined Cl = 0.4
pH = 7.8
Total Alkalinity = 140
Calcium = ~90 ppm
TDS = 487
Salt 200 ppm (before adding anything)
I am now adding some salt to the pool and waiting for it to dissolve before retesting to get a baseline before adding more. Goal is 3500 ppm.
My question is, is the pH and Total Alkalinity too high and need to be adjusted, or should I leave it for now?
Other than that, what do you think?
Thanks in advance.
