Hello. We are 30 days in and I would like to start adding salt to my pool. It is roughly 25k gallons (how can I know exactly?) and I have an IC-60. I did the salt test using my pro test kit and got salmon cloudy water with 2 drops which means 400ppm. How do I know how many bags to add? Thanks!

If you use the PoolMath app, you can use the effects of adding. For a 25k gallon pool, each 40lb bad will add 191ppm of salt.

Thank you. It is asking me for my target salt and I can't figure out what my target salt should be. The other tests have pop-ups with suggestions but I am not seeing anything for salt.

Thank you. Looks like I'll need to add 17 bags. Is there a recommended method of adding? I could not find a procedure in the Pool School section.

Turn off the SWG.
Make sure the pump is running.
Dump 4 bags in the shallow end, that is about what I can handle in one go with the brush. Brush back and forth in the shallow end until the salt dissolves. Get 4 more bags. Repeat until you get 12 bags done.
STOP.
Allow 24 hours for the salt to circulate. If you have a robot, throw that in to help circulation.
After 24 hours, RETEST Salt...THEN add what you need to get to target.
This will help you from overshooting...and get some testing experience!
