i have a 19-20k gallon vinyl pool that was installed this may. Here are my results.

pH: 7
Br 2
Cl 1

CYA 30
FC 5
CC 1
TC 6
TA 30

Ca 0

Looks like i may need to increase my TA and possibly add some buffer to raise my pH. Should i address the TA first and see if that fixes my issue? Also to note, my uncle threw in one bottle of "shock" while i was away last week because he noticed some algae forming. this was done 4 days ago. I live in CT for what it is worth. I am so thankful i found this community! I was so nervous about the pool chemistry, as every single person i asked had a different way to balance their pool.

Welcome to the forum!
Good job on the testing !

Use baking soda to raise your TA to 70 ppm. Do not add anything to raise your pH

How does the water look?

Maintain your FC using [FC/CYA][/FC/CYA] with liquid chlorine.

pool looks clear now, they did not know how to use the robot, and only brushed once. we got back and attacked, but my kit only came today. Thank you for the quick reply! My 7 year old was more excited than i was to test the pool. Have a great afternoon!
