First time pool startup

Should I turn off filter at night in case PSI goes up too much? Do I need to actually watch it for 24 hours?
How fast does it get to 25% over clean pressure? If over 12 hours, then backwash the DE out and leave the pump on.

Read the last bullet in "prerequisites" in the SLAM process. Link-->SLAM Process

Okay did it. Only half a cup of this stuff brought it up 1 psi. Not the 1-2 cups it says. But anyways. Just watch it for now? When do I add more DE? or not until I backwash and start again?
Great. Instruction on TFP say to add in 1/4 cup increments. TFP, not the box. :) Add another half cup AFTER you backwash. Watch the pressure more carefully for the 25% rise with DE in the filter.

Oh yeah I added 1/4 at a time. Ended up being 1/2 cup that made it go up 1 PSI. Ty!

Loss of 4ppm last night. Still super cloudy. Day 7. Guess I still got work to do
So look at it this way. You need X amount of FC to clear your pool.

Everytime you drop 4 (etc), 4 is subtracted from X and X gets closer to zero (being finished). While it feels like a loss, it's actually progress.

Yeah, this is the point it gets hard. Time for POP.

Where are you at brushing the inside of ladders, behind lights, in the skimmer, removing and scrubbing the weir door?

Post a current picture of the door.

I may have missed the weir doors. I have 2 so may be the cause of the issue?

There’s no ladder in the pool yet so that’s a non issue. Can’t get behind the light (well can’t even see it) but I’ve been scrubbing it.
