First time home (and pool owner)!!

Thank you so much for all the help! The pool is open and running fine.

However, the plastic ladder slipped when someone was getting out and it ripped 2 holes in the liner. One was a 2" slice, the other is a "flap". They're about 2" apart.

I used a cheap walmart kit (they were the only place open) and I'm not confident it will hold or that I did a good enough job. Does anyone have any ideas or pro tips for getting this repaired? Its about 2' underwater, if draining was something I needed to do, I could.
