Wow, that is really helpful. I think my water is starting to look good. If the sun was out I think it would look even better. Pictures of the deep end on a very overcast day.

The shallow end usually can be seen easily, but the deep end is often times the yardstick by which we measure visibility because we look for drain covers, coins, bugs, etc. Anything that could be in the deepest part and still be clear as a bell. When your water gets a haze to it and you lose that clarity, there's a need for concern.

Water is looking great now! CC at .5 or less. Looking forward to the OCL test tonight. Suns out and now and lost 5.5 FC between 11am and 1. Is that normal or a sign of something still in the water?

Another question, the guidelines say "clear water". How subjective is clear water. My shallow end is crystal clear. I can see to the bottom easily in the deepend but I feel like it has been clearer in the past.

Passed my overnight test, CC .5 or less, water is crystal clear. SLAM complete! Passed just in time as I ran out of R870 powder this AM. Hoping the refill delivers tomorrow. Adding salt today and getting the pool after partial refill back to 3,000ppm.

This was an expensive learning process. Hope I don’t have to do it again!
