Hi everyone, looking to see if there is any additional advice on what I am doing. I've never owned a pool and this is my first month of learning everything I can. The pool is fiberglass has an SWG, waterfall and a heater in a northern climate.
My numbers today are as follows:
FC- 5
CC-0
PH-7.7 (in between 7.6 and 7.8). have kept this between 7.4 and 7.8 (Waterfall might be contributing to the PH rise as well as TA)
TA-110 ( started at 140, been using Muriatic acid to slowly knock this down when my ph climbs to 7.8)
CYA -60 (started at 0 , increased it to 60, sometimes around 70 if the water level is down I think this is good for us up north).
CH- 240 (CH started at 40, raised it to 240. Even though its fiberglass I think it's important to have some CH. Not sure if I should increase this further)
I am still dialling in the SWG, I run it for 12 hours a day around 40-50%. On sunny days 40% isn't enough so I have kept it at 50% for now. How does everyone regulate the different days of weather needs?
Thanks,
