This is my second season owning a pool. I never liked the pool guy we had last year, so I decided to dive on the TFP method. I've got to stick with it, because my kids want a swimmable pool all summer. The pool guy left me with a high CYA, which is down to 65 now at the start of the season. From what I read, that will probably be manageable. Those 3" pucks in my garage left behind by the previous owner are coming nowhere near my pool again!

Welcome to the forum:wave:

You are very quick to grasp one of the primary things we teach......don't overstabilize.

60-70 CYA is quite manageable and it will naturally come down just a bit as your season progresses.

The good news is, as you learn more and more, you will devise safe ways to use the pucks to your benefit. They have a long, long shelf life
