Old Waterway SMF pump with 1 hp single speed motor. When power on motor turns, expelling air from the canister filter. When it starts to build pressure, the sound of the motor drops, and it will run approximately ten minutes at low flow before the motor stops. Circuit breaker not tripped. Turn off power to motor for a time and process repeats. With power off, I can manually turn impeller easily with a finger.
Is the problem most likely the motor or the pump? Any other tests I can do to diagnose?
