Filter Pressure Valve

Hello, all,
I’m having an odd issue that I’m at witts end with…when I release some of the water from the pressure valve at the top of the filter, I’m not get the strong gush of water out that I usually get. I’m trying to trouble shoot what the problem could be and thought to ask here as well. There’s no air leak in the pool pump. Return valves have strong return. I’ve already cleaned and inspected the grid filters. Any ideas? Thanks in advance

You might have something stuck in the relief valve itself. Something that floated up in teh filter that is clogging that tiny relief port. You might try removing the relief valve to inspect and clean it out next time you clean the grids.

Mike,

The input to the air relief can get plugged which limits what comes out.

You can sometimes use a hose, and with the pump off, blow water backwards through the valve, which can clean the pathway.
