Filling pool

Update: the pool finished filling and there is no noticeable ring left behind. Thanks for everyone’s comments!

Yesterday we finished our pebble and started filling with two hoses. It is 3/4 full and our landscaper took both our hoses out for about 30-60 minutes. Once we noticed he did that we put one back immediately and the second about 15 minutes later once he was done watering the sod. Did the water flow stop long enough to cause a water ring?

I would think you are fine for that short period. I have one where the pool guy's own personnel pulled the fill lines out of the pool after only like an hour to fill the overflow basin instead, which makes no sense. Mine was out for like 12 hours and it's a very noticeable (to me) lighter color spot and ring at the bottom of the pool. Builder assures me it will come out and the plaster company owner also came by and said the same thing. Said you will never know after they fix it. They will get in the filled pool and attack it manually by hand scrubbing and contact acid wash after the final construction debris and dust and dirt is all done, probably late next week. If not, they will have to chip it all out and replaster the entire pool. Builder is not going to fight me, if it comes to that. We have some events next month so if that is needed, probably going to do it later in the fall.

That’s horrible! I’m so sorry to hear your experience. I know how frustrated we were. Our pool is not fully filled and there is no noticeable line.
