fiberglass pool walls getting rough

MY ph was running high so i took a sample to the store to see what they got. Ph was 8 and TA high over 300(which is what i got with tf-100). I added dry acid in two pound increments to correct TA. 10 lbs in total. TA still high but ph now 7.5, water looks great. walls are now feeling a little rough, I'm assuming because of the high ph? Just had partial water exchange about 2 months ago. any ideas on getting TA down? more dry acid? will the walls reverse back to normal over time? thx

Muriatic. Dry acid has sulfate that build up in your water and causes corrosion.
