Hi - hoping for some help. This is a bit of an odd situation. We have an in-ground pool. A house is being built behind us & they are putting in a fiberglass deck. Today, our pool has fiberglass particles floating over the entire pool. Is there any way of cleaning this? Can it damage the filter? (Sand filter) To say we are annoyed & frustrated is an understatement. The pic isnt the best. It’s hard to photograph. We have a call in to our pool company but was hoping to get some answers as they are often backed up.

Get some disposable hairnets and put them in the skimmer(s). You can hold them down with a rock that is bigger than the skimmer pipe.

If they get to the filter, should not be an issue, they will backwash out.

Irritating, and rather rude, but not a major issue. If you have a leaf rake, or skimmer, with a fine-mesh net, squirt a line of dishwashing soap (like Dawn) down the middle of the pool. The particles will slowly move to the edges of the pool from the surface tension and the majority can be scooped out. Works with leaves as well. The rest can go into the filter and be backwashed out at the next backwash.
