Hello everyone! I'm new to the group. Been researching for a little bit and just signed a contract a few weeks ago. We decided to go with the Viking Empress in Pacific Blue. We are waiting for HOA approval and hopefully we can get started soon. Here are a few pictures of what the builder gave us so far.

We are getting close to dig day. The HOA finally approved the pool and the permits have been filed. We met with the pool builder Saturday and went over more of the details. I don't have model numbers but it will all be Jandy equipment. I am upgrading to the variable speed pump and a saltwater setup. The pool is 7,600 gallons from my research. It looks like 1 skimmer and 3 returns but he said that Viking installs all that so we really didn't get into it. He did say that the house was too tall and it would require a bigger crane or we could just remove more of the fence. I was hoping to just remove 2 or 3 sections but looks like most of one side will come down. We planned on putting a welded wire on the fence to bring it up to code but since a lot will need to be reinstalled we are getting quotes for a 5 foot fence now. The whole yard will have to be re-graded as well. I didn't plan for that so now we are trying to figure out if we want to hydro-seed, re-seed, or put down sod. I also have to re-do 2 zones for the irrigation system. The wife wants to line the side fences with shrubs for privacy, we found one (Emerald Green Arborvitae) that we really so we are trying to figure that out as well. The dig day is next Monday, Aug 12th. He said Tuesday the pool will be in the ground. Wednesday the electrician will be out. Thursday will be the electrical inspection, Friday will be grading, and the following week will be pouring of the patio. The one thing that we aren't excited about is we leave for vacation bright and early that Friday morning and wont be back till Tuesday night. He said he's planning a 10 day build.

Dig Day is here! Pool is scheduled for delivery between 11-11:30. The office lady said it should be in the ground filled when I get home tonight. I think that’s a tall order but we will see!

All before lunch! If you look at the picture of the side yard, looks like pump and possibly the filter are already placed.

It’s in the ground! I know fiberglass installs are fast but I can’t believe how fast this is going!

Looks like it is moving right along. You will need to watch the grade with that hillside behind your house. Have you had a problem with water running down the hill into the yard?

The yards are set up so the drainage runs down the sides of the house to a drainage ditch that goes to a sewer every few houses. Even in the heaviest of rains, it hasn't gotten as high as the patio will be for the pool. We will have a slight drop off from the patio off the back side of the pool to ground level so I think we are going to move our no dig fence to run along the concrete edge so no one falls.

Looks like the pool install is done. They filled it today and from the looks of the security cameras they packed up and left. I think electrical is tomorrow and inspections Thursday or Friday. Then patio next week.

Got storms coming through. The neighbor sent my wife these pictures. I have some silt fencing that I’m going to put down on the fencing to try and keep it out of their yard.

That's only gonna help them grow grass. Hay bales is what you want there. That filter is tiny. I hate seeing PB cheap out. The 2 excavator carry trick is risky a small crane for a few hundred would have been alot smarter. I like the pool and it fits well into your yard. Make sure they compact very well before your deck goes down. Running the track machine over it doesn't count they need to mechanically compact it

We finally passed electrical inspection last Wednesday but with all the rain the patio pour was pushed back. They had a cancellation and were out there first thing this morning!
