Hello, new pool owners here looking for some cleaning tips on my fiberglass pool. I have two specific challenges that I’m trying to get clean:
1) Adhesive residue. My builder masked off by taping plastic in place over the fiberglass pool when he poured the concrete deck. There is some difficult adhesive residue that is taking a ton of elbow grease to get out. I’m currently just using a dish sponge dish sponge designed for ceramic pots. With a lot of scrubbing I’m getting up the adhesive but it’s taking a lot of work. I’ve been hesitant to try something like “goo gone” because I know some will get into the water. Should I just use “goo gone” or is there something else that would work here?
2) Concrete splatter. Despite the masking there is some concrete splatter at the waterline/rim in a few areas. A stiff brush won’t get it off, but I can usually chip it off with my finger nails. Is there something else I can use to break this free without damaging/scratching the fiberglass?
Thanks!
