Fence Stain

Anyone ever use a sprayer like this to stain a fence? I don't want to have to brush it on, use sponge/cloth due to mess and most definitely don't want to pay the 1k quote....

I had poor results when I tried to use a sprayer like that because I couldn't get the stain thin enough to get a good spray pattern. It would really depend on the stain you are using.

An airless pump sprayer would be a better choice if you don't mind a small investment in a tool and have a way to power it. You can get cheap ones for around 100 bucks.

I tried one of those as well and had the same problem as Chuck. Ended up buying a power sprayer and it worked great.
