Which Lamotte kit? We generally do not recommend any digital tester as then need a lot of calibration and you just never know if they are telling you non-sense.
And, they usually do not read the FC level high enough.

The digital test is not recommended for the reason stated above, but even if it was, if you ever had to SLAM you would still need the FAS-DPD test.
I ended up getting the taylor 2006c. Was going to get the tft kit, but a guy I go to church with has a pool company and he got me the complete 2006c kit for $80. Figured I couldn't go wrong for that price.

As long as the expiration dates on the bottles is a good couple years out, good times and win-win. If they expire this year or early next year..... see about a refund in my opinion.

Ha getting it directly from Taylor. As a pool cleaning and repair company, he gets special prices. Last year he got me my entire system, filter, SWG and variable speed pump at his cost. Got it all for under $1500
