I’ve always pointed both of my return eyeballs toward the deep end and angled slightly toward the surface. That seems the best way to get a consistent circulation pattern.
This orientation makes a little turbulence at the surface which casts some really cool shadow on the bottom of the pool.
But, I have a “dead spot” on the side opposite the deep end return where fallen leaves just sit.
Should I consider a different orientation? Or maybe even different eyeballs?
The eyeballs are the ones that were in the pool when I bought the house and I’ve never really fooled with them. Before I found TFP, I spent most of my time fighting algae. Thanks to TFP, my pool water is now crystal clear so now I have time to be fussy about other things!
