Hey guys, just got out of pool and eyes are stinging a bit. Did a quick test with TF100.
PH 7.5-7.8
FC 3.5
CC 1
TA 110
Water is very slightly cloudy. Thoughts??
To know if a fc of 3.5 is acceptable or is low & allowing nasties to fester an accurate cya reading is a must.
But Cloudy water + elevated cc’s = SLAM Process time.
At the appropriate level for your cya of course. FC/CYA Levels
CC would be my guess as well. During the winter, we kept the pool heated and under a solar cover. I would pull the cover up to test and add chlorine. One night swimming we had eye irritation pretty bad. I don't remember where the CC level was, but I read that having the cover on wasn't allowing the sunlight to burn off the CC and kept it trapped underneath the cover. Started pulling the cover up for a couple of hours and problem solved!
