Extending Wet Niche

So I have the old brass wet niche, need to relocate where it use to be to the new spot so thought I would share some pics for everyone elses edification. So I have a 1/2 brass schedule 40 pipe coming out of the ground, had to cut it and now getting ready to trench up and run new line. Bought a threader off Amazon for $40, I have threaded the pipe end so I can screw on PVC coupler and then run grey PVC to the Intermatic box before running the rest to the new load center. Going to use Tplus2 dope on the pipe to get a decent seal, fingers cross no leaks. and I also picked up a 1/2 rubber cord plug for inside the niche. and maybe double it up with some silicon for good measure. To keep things bonded, I'm gonna connect a ground clamp to the old brass line and run 8AWG copper back to bond everything.

I've got to be honest here and say I don't know what a "wet niche" is?? Is that like a dry well, or rain garden?

LOL on the rain garden, I need one of those too. Wet niche is the housing for the pool light.
