I will be moving into a home in Savannah, GA and unfortunately will have to immediately be away for a few months. Pool is saltwater, plaster, built in the last few years, Jandy SWG, single speed pump, Polaris pressure cleaner. I plan to initially test everything and balance what I can but it’s going to require a pool service. I use TF-Pro and have a SWG at current home so familiar with everything.

Any experience having to use these service companies? Do any of them use a reliable test kit even periodically? Or is this likely just a quick test strip and call it good? Anything I can specifically request from company from their service aside from a few pictures of the pool and weekly reports of levels and chemicals added? Any specifics to look for when picking a company?

There are Pool Service companies who use large Taylor test kits.

I have used a local Pool Service company at times and all their guys use Taylor test kits. There are the basics that the company supplies but then it is up to the individual guy who services your pool. I had some very good ones and some sloppy ones.

You really want to not only interview and select the Pool Servcie company but specify the person(s) who will work on your pool.

Setup cameras around your pool and equipment and that will record what is done. That will let you see what they actually do versus what they say.
