Just bought this unit and am trying it for the first day.
Seemes to clean the bottom well, but not the sides. I have an 8 foot deep end and looks to be going up only about 6 feet in the deep end.
Is this normal for this model or should I have bought something different because of the depth?

It should go all the way up to the waterline tile..

That said, it only goes up once out of five runs, so don't expect it to go to the surface on each pass.

Ahh, I live in Houston and we had a lot of rain from the recent gulf storms.
Was seeing a very light algae build up. It has gone all the way up in a few places, but thought if it started up, should go all th way up like in the shallow end.

Your robot will do nothing for algae. That is a chemistry problem.

Chemistry is being taken care of now as we speak, had about 4” of rain early in the week.
That does not change the fact that the cleaner does not completely climb the walls.
It swept the dying algae everywhere else.
