Checking if my newly built pool has a leak before doing more leak tests.

Given the recent 107-122 heat indexes in the area, what has been your water loss?

I find that I'm putting in about 500 gallons in 16k 15x32 pool (close to an inch decrease on marked water level) every 4-5 days.

Pool water temp is around 84-85.

I read the following and it doesn't seem I have a leak issue but wanted to see what others with exposed pools (non shaded, non wind blocks) are experiencing.

I have the same sun exposure as you and the evaporation seems normal IMO. Two weeks ago I was draining water every other day and but not now, in a few more days we'll both be adding water.

Thanks. Yes, I've used that tool in the past but couldn't believe the 0.5"/day it is telling me which is 100s of gallons.

Added 600 gallons on Sunday

5-gallon/min for 120 min (2-hrs).

Have you tried the bucket test to see if your water loss is due to evaporation or a leak?

according to the Anderson tool link here my result in Port Orange.
Calculated Water Loss: 0.6 in/day

I plan to do that, just trying to be home at the same time on consecutive days to make the checks as I think it needs to be done with one time off (pump) and one time on.
