Error code.

I am looking at a heater that is a legacy LRZ400EN Model. We are getting this error code. I am guessing this has something to do with the flame sensor.

Any guidance out there that would be appreciated of parts that we could try to clean or replace

Picture has the error code. It says fault, check ignition control.

Please advise.

That can be a lot of different things. Igniter; gas pressure; gas valve; flame sensor.

If you have a flame sensor problem, you will often feel a puff of heat as it ignites and then since it does not sense the flame the heater shuts down.

Thank you. This is very helpful. After watching the videos, I will explore gas valve further. I’m not getting any flames, just the igniter. Probably not flame sensor.
