Finished the equipment pad rebuild. Pretty happy with the results. Its a lot neater than the old also all new equipment which was the reason for the rebuild.

The blue and white thing is a motor cover I picked up from Amazon.Supposed to keep the motor cooler. The other object your inquiring about is a Zinc Anode, lots of talk as to if they do anything at all but I had it so I plumbed it in. Ive since put unions around it as its supposed to be removed in the winter. Have made replacement pipes for it and the swg.
