The city water here in Seattle is generally pretty soft (CH 40 as of this afternoon although I wonder if it doesn't fluctuate), but we’ve often had tiny (mostly white) stones collect in our aerators and shower heads. Recently the hot water in one bathroom has slowed to a trickle and the problem is on the wrong side of the wall.
I imagine it is a buildup of scale and pebbles blocking the flow, probably on the backside of shutoff under the sink.
Do you think the electronic descaling gadgets are worth trying (they promise to remove scale and improve flow), or should I just call a plumber?
