My current solar cover reel is nearing the end of its life after over 10 years of use. While looking at various reels, I noticed the Pool Boy series of electric reels where it uses a motor to wind and unwind the solar cover. I have seen mixed reviews. Since my wife would be the main user of the reel, she's interested in it since it's getting harder and harder for her to use a manual reel. I'm just wondering if anyone has any experience with one.

Yes, either the Pool Boy I or II. Probably not the battery operated III. With my wife's arthritis, it's getting harder for her to manually wind up the solar cover. I had not seen it discussed at all here.
