Intelliflo vsf pump, intellitouch panel connected to a screenlogic2.
New pool. Started pump manually and then set up easy touch panel. I set up 2 programs:
8am to 8pm & 8pm to 8am.
Everyday around 11pm pump shuts off. I set up a program to start it up from the screenlogic (ex 1101pm to 5am). As soon as it is triggered by the new program it recognizes the current program and then turns back on.
Something is crossed & I haven’t been able to figure out how to straighten it out. Reset button on easytouch didnt work.
Powering off pump & restarting didnt work. Pump is in automation mode magenta light and turns on & off with the ET panel. Any ideas?

N,

If you want to run the pump 24/7 then you should set the schedule to 8 am until 8 am.

Anytime you turn a circuit on manually, it will shut off after 12 hours, unless you have set the circuit's egg-timer to a different time.

Why do you have two schedules?

Thanks,

Jim R.

I had it set 8am to 8am and it was doing the same thing. I changed the egg timer to run all the time. I guess that is the best fix? Im new to setting up the equipment and want to be sure im doing it correctly.

Last night i watched it change between the 2 schedules no problem (screenlogic)1 was sctive & then the other. Around 11 it became inactive. I had to set up a temp schedule to get it to kick back on to the schedule it should have been on. The default 12 hrs on the egg timer took precedence over the currently active schedule. If setting the egg timer to run all the time is all i need to do then i will watch it again tonight to see if it shuts off. Thanks for your help!

N,

The problem is not the system it is YOU. Schedules are just that.. they run on their own. You should never have to push the "F" button to turn things on or off, that is now how you do it.

If you manually turn something on.. it will run until the egg-timer times out. You can set the egg-timer to don't stop, but why?

If you just use the system as it was designed, it works perfectly.

Why do you keep pushing the button?

Thanks,

Jim R

Not pushing any buttons. Just monitoring the schedule. I havent turned on anything manually since initial startup. Only through a scheduled program. Just trying to understand how the system works.

N,

If that is true, then something is not working...

As a test, set a single schedule for the Pool Circuit from 8 am until 8 am using ScreenLogic. Set the Pool egg-timer to the default value of 12 hours.

Do you have ScreenLogic on your PC or are you just using you phone? The phone can be flaky.. The PC works better for me.

If the IntelliTouch has a reset button on the main panel push it to re-boot the system after you have set the schedule and see what happens.

It might take 5 minutes or more for the system to com back up.

In theory, it should come back up, the pump should run at the Pool speed ... forever..

You can add additional Feature Circuits to change pump speeds during the pool schedule, but let's see what happens first.

Thanks,

Jim R.

N,

I just thought of something..

Some new IntelliFlo VSF pumps are known to have a bad F/W load. I suggest that you put the system into the Service mode and then use the pump's display to see what F/W your pump currently has. If 3.03 or 3.04 then Pentair needs to come out and re-flash the Firmware.

Thanks,

Jim R.
