Easytouch Scheduling Question

If my spa is really the only main concern, having it run all day while gone and wasting $100 of propane,

Tox,

I am still puzzled..

Why do you have the spa scheduled at all?

As an example: If you have your system set up to run the pool mode say 8 am until 8 pm. If you want to use the spa at 7 pm, you just use the "V" button to change Auto to Spa and you are done.

I'd like to help, but can't figure out what it is you want to do.

Just to confirm.. To run the Spillway mode, you would be in the Pool mode and turning on the spillway mode simply causes the Intake valve to move so that the system sucks water from the pool and sends it all to the spa. The spillway mode has nothing to do with the Spa mode..

Thanks,

Jim R.

I am still puzzled..
He's somehow accidentally creating schedules, something to do with fat fingers. The schedules default to 7 days a week, 8-5. Until he notices them, they're burning bucks heating his spa when no one is using it. He was looking for a way to change the default setting, so that if he accidentally creates one again, it'll default to 0 days a week, or 0 hours a day, etc.

Matt responded that isn't possible.

I suggested he fill up all his unused schedules with something benign, like egg timers, so that he can't accidentally create a thirteenth one (though I'm not sure it would work like that). I also suggested he install ScreenLogic, which is easier to use, allows him to start his spa remotely, and would be much harder with which to accidentally create an unwanted schedule.

I do have 1 spa schedule for 10 minutes, 1 day per week, to blow out jets and deter any nesting critters in furnace. I'm going to delete it, as spa use is going to make it redundant, if it wasn't already enough.

I have a spillway mode set up on pool side that is independent of the spa mode, yes. That is not to do with my Fill (spillway) question, which I now understand needs to be in Service Mode to use, and is a service function. Was curious towards that as I need to drain down to jets to see something with the nozzles and knew didn't work, but now know being in Auto it won't.

The scheduling issue was my navigation errors creating new schedules. The box, which I am learning, is easy for a new person to it to get off on the wrong limb of the tree of functions. The scheduling function is passive and can be inadvertently done by navigation instead of requiring a more active approval, so, that I need to pay attention to more better. I was hoping there was a way to fail-safe this issue from me and my errors.
