This week, I did a fun project with my Pentair Easytouch 4 motherboard with the small green LCD screen that it can be replaced with the same or a better one if should the green OEM screen starts to fail overtime. I was able to modify my easytouch motherboard with upgrading the LCD screen from the OEM black text on green screen to a white text on blue one instead which looks way better than the green screen since it matches with the blue buttons, and can be seen better during the daytime.
I know this has never been mentioned before on here so I guess I’m the only one who has done and posted about this. I also did some research for the LED’s that are in the motherboard and was able to find and replace the red little SMD LED’s that light up when a relay switch is turned on to different colors. I added a blue light for the pump relay switch, green lights for the regular three relay switches, amber light for the heater button and yellow light for the solar button and all the LED’s look really bright and amazing than having those boring red LED ones for every relay switch and button when it’s on. I wanted to be creative so I tried to make the LEDs have their own color for each relay switch. Upgrading the easytouch to have a better screen and different LEDs makes it look really special, as for me since I always try to repair and modify electronics as a hobby so I just thought why not do one onto my pool equipment just for fun.
