Good Afternoon. We were just informed by our builder that they plan on starting our build in the next couple of weeks. I have already mounted my Easy Touch 4 panel near the proposed equipment pad and am wondering if I can turn the power on to the panel prior to pump/light /heater installation. I just want to be sure that it powers up and maybe I could program some of the settings ahead of time. Also, when wiring the Aux circuit for the pool lights (12v transformer), do I run both the hot and the neutral wires to the line terminals of the relay or do I just use one leg of the relay for the hot and run the white wire to the neutral bar? I am using a GFCI breaker for the light transformer. Thanks for any info you can give me!

You can power it up if you want but there really isn't any reason to at this point.

For 120v (just like what you need to power your light transformer) you run the hot leg to the relay and the load leg from it, the neutral and ground go straight to the transformer. Breaking the neutral is a code violation in most areas and completely unnecessary. I also suspect it will give your GFI some havoc.

The only time you would use both sides of the relay is when using it for 220V.
