Went all winter without even looking at the pool... covered only by the solar cover (which probably does more harm than good).

Had to go to the pool store to get acid. While there I brought my water to be tested just for kicks.
In addition to telling me that I had to raise my TA too high so that I would have to keep buying more and more acid, he tried to get me all worked up about the crisis I was having with the pool with my too high combined chlorine and that I needed to add non-chlorine "shock" to get rid of it.
I showed him the "before" picture, and explained that I was fighting a swamp, and expected high CC. Dollar signs flashed in his eyes, as he told me I needed additional chemicals to fix it... Until I showed him the "after" picture.
