first of I wish to acknowledge TFP as the best and only source worth paying attention too. I have been maintaining pools for years using old equipment, using Leslie's pool supplies as my go too, recently had a tear in my de filter and had a cloudy pool at the same time, dealt with the crack in de filter manifold and changed out internals, still cloudy, bottom line, this is the third summer since changing out liner, my cya is through the roof due to using conditioner and stabilized sanitizer products, my CYA is over 100. although i did not perform a full slam, I used the same principles, what was most important, was to understand the CYA affect and adjust F/C to match, took me three days and better than new. my pool is now crystal clear thanks to this group. keep in mind that liquid chlorine has a higher ph, still the best way to go, so if i want to lowe my standard daily F/C from 9, I will need to lower CYA by draining as needed.

- what do we know about CYA reducers (using organisms , sold by Leslie's ) ?.
- wondering if better to drain from surface of pool or draw from below, basiccaly, is there a higher concentration are of cya. where to draw from ?.
