Drain plug 4x4 square mini frame kiddie pool

I bought a 4x4 Intex square mini frame kiddie pool for some ducks. It said it had a drain plug so I thought that would be great. Problem is the hole is maybe a 1 in hole so not big enough to drain duck waste as well. Question: Is there a way to make a bigger drain hole in the Intex pool side or bottom that would be at least 2-2 1/2 in hole for draining that can be plugged until ready to drain and then I could pull the drain plug? Any ideas would be great!

Use a 2” hose and create a siphon to drain the water with duck waste as needed.

Doesn’t this require some kind of pump to pump the water out?
