I believe my filter should be part of my pool bond but I can't find a place to put it on this filter. I know on Heyward filters they are easy to find. Also, someone told that filters don't need to be part of the pool bind but I believe they should be. Am I correct?

If the filter housing is made from metal, it should be bonded. If its not metal, it doesn't need to be.
The pic you provided shows a pump, not a filter. There is a connection to bond the pump motor. You may have to remove a cover at the back of the motor. You should check the owners manual. It will say where the bonding lug is located. Contact a qualified electrician if you have any doubts.
Is there anything on the pump that indicates that it is double insulated? If so, no bonding is required

It looks like there may be 4+ screws that hold the cover on. Perhaps you need to pull the cover off to get to the lug. Alternatively is there a lug on the base?

The pool store said it doesn't have to be bonded because its enclosed in plastic. They said if i wanted i could still bond it to metal screw. Should I?
Probably received that reply because you called it a filter. Email back and ask about bonding a XP II pump.
